Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Quotal, provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Quotal.

1. What Quotal does

Quotal helps tradespeople capture a job by voice and photos and produce a priced quote to send to their customers. Quotal is a tool to help you prepare quotes; it does not provide pricing, legal, tax, or professional advice.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your login secure, and for all activity under it. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Your quotes are your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the prices, scope, terms, and content of the quotes you create and send, and for any contract you enter into with your customers. AI-generated drafts are suggestions only and may contain errors — you must review and confirm every quote before sending it. We are not a party to any agreement between you and your customers.

4. Subscriptions, trial & billing

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you put into Quotal (voice notes, photos, descriptions, customer details, and quotes). You grant us the limited licence needed to host and process that content to provide the service, including sending the necessary content to the AI provider you select to build your quote (see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for having the right to upload any content, including your customers' details.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Quotal available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may change, and parts of the service depend on third parties.

8. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Quotal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that AI-generated prices or scopes are accurate, complete, or fit for a particular job — they are a starting point you must review.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profits, business, or data, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the [12] months before the claim. [Confirm cap and review with an adviser.]

10. Termination

You may stop using Quotal and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or to comply with law. On termination, your right to use the service ends; some provisions survive (such as content licences needed to wind down, disclaimers, and liability limits).

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [ENGLAND & WALES / YOUR JURISDICTION], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you may have.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Quotal after changes means you accept them.
